Responsible Gambling at LEON Bet
Deposit and session limits, cooling-off periods, self-exclusion, and the independent Australian services you can reach without going through us.
Where we stand
Gambling is entertainment. It stops being entertainment when it costs more than you meant to spend, takes time you meant to spend elsewhere, or becomes something you hide.
Responsible gambling is not a legal box we tick. The tools below are built into the account, they work the moment you set them, and support will not try to talk you out of using them. LEON Bet is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, and the self-exclusion you set with us is enforced by us under that licence.
This page is for players aged 18 and over. Nobody younger may hold an account.
A quick self-check
These questions are not a diagnosis. They are the things people tend to notice first, and they are worth answering honestly, to yourself, in private.
- Have you played for longer than you planned more than once this month?
- Have you deposited again after deciding you were finished for the day?
- Do you play to win back money you have already lost?
- Have you borrowed money, or delayed paying a bill, to keep playing?
- Do you play less openly than you used to, or change the subject when it comes up?
- Does gambling take time from work, study, sleep or the people around you?
- Do you feel restless or irritable when you try to cut back?
One yes is worth a pause. Several is worth a conversation with someone outside the account, and the services further down this page exist for exactly that.
Tools you can set yourself
Every tool below is in your account settings and takes effect as soon as you save it.
- Deposit limits cap how much money can enter the account per day, per week or per month.
- Wagering limits cap how much can be staked over the same periods, which catches the case where money already in the balance keeps circulating.
- Session limits end a session after a length of time you choose.
- Reality checks interrupt play with a reminder of how long you have been on, so a session that got away from you becomes visible while it is happening.
Set them before you need them. A limit chosen on a calm day is a better limit than one chosen mid-session.
Lowering and raising a limit
The two directions are deliberately not symmetrical.
Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. If you decide mid-week that the number is too high, the new, lower number applies from the moment you save it.
Raising or removing a limit does not. The request is held for a cooling-off period first, and only then does the higher limit apply. If you change your mind during the wait, cancel the request and nothing happens. This is the point of the tool: it protects the decision you made when you were thinking clearly from the decision you might make in the middle of a losing run.
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion closes the door rather than narrowing it. You can take a short break, a longer one, or make it permanent.
While an exclusion is active you cannot deposit, place bets or open games, and we stop sending you marketing. A temporary exclusion cannot be lifted early on request. That is not an administrative inconvenience, it is the mechanism working: an exclusion you can undo in a bad moment is not an exclusion.
To set one, open your account settings or ask support. Any balance you are entitled to is dealt with under our Terms and Conditions.
Help that is not us
Independent support matters, because talking to the operator you play with is not the same as talking to someone with no stake in the outcome.
Gambling Help Online is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, every day, anywhere in Australia. You can chat, email or call. The phone number is 1800 858 858. Counsellors there talk to people at every stage, including people who are not sure they have a problem at all.

BetStop is the Australian Government's national self-exclusion register. It is independent of us and of any single operator, and registering with it excludes you from licensed Australian online and phone gambling services. LEON Bet holds a Curaçao licence rather than an Australian one, so treat BetStop as a national tool that works alongside the exclusion you set here, not as a substitute for it.
Register at BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register.
Gambling Therapy, Gamblers Anonymous and GamCare also take contact from players and from the people close to them.
Blocking gambling on your devices
Account-level tools stop you playing with us. Device-level tools stop you reaching gambling sites at all, and the two work well together.
Gambling-blocking software is sold by independent vendors, installs on a phone or computer, and blocks gambling domains across every browser and app on the device. Some banks also let you turn on a gambling transaction block from inside your banking app, which stops the payment before it reaches any operator. Ask your bank whether that setting exists on your account.
Strictly 18 and over
You must be at least 18 to hold an account with LEON Bet. We verify age during KYC, and every Australian player is asked to complete verification before a withdrawal is paid.
If an account turns out to belong to someone under 18, it is suspended and handled under our Terms and Conditions. Keep your login private, and do not leave a logged-in device where a minor can reach it.
Asking us for help
Support is available 24 hours a day by live chat and email. Asking to set a limit, take a break or close the account is a normal request, it is handled without argument, and it costs you nothing.
You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to be certain there is a problem. If you would rather talk to someone outside the company first, use Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858.
