What this document covers
These Terms and Conditions govern your account with LEON Bet: registration and verification, deposits and withdrawals, bonuses and promotions, gameplay and settlement, and the responsible gambling tools attached to the account. They apply to the website, the mobile site and the Android app.
They sit alongside the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the specific terms published with each promotion.
Accepting the terms
You accept these terms when you register. We update them from time to time, and the current version is always the one published here with its date.
When we make a material change we tell you, and continuing to play after an update means you accept the updated version. If you do not accept it, stop playing and ask support to close the account.
One account per person
Each player may hold one account. One person, one name, one set of payment details.
Duplicate accounts, whether opened deliberately or by mistake, are closed. Where duplication was used to claim a bonus more than once or to work around a limit or an exclusion, the affected balances may be forfeited. Tell support yourself if you think you have ended up with two accounts, because a disclosed mistake is treated very differently from a discovered one.
Verifying your identity
Verification, known as KYC, is required by law and is not optional. You will be asked for proof of identity such as a passport or driver licence, and proof of address such as a recent utility bill.
Until verification is complete you can deposit and play, but you cannot withdraw. Once it is complete, withdrawals are processed, the account limits that apply to unverified players are lifted, and you will not be asked for the same documents again unless something material changes.
Age restriction
You must be at least 18 years old. We verify age during KYC and we screen for accounts that appear to belong to minors.
Where an account is found to belong to a person under 18, it is suspended immediately, all winnings are void, and deposits that have not been staked are returned through the original payment method. No bonus, and no winnings derived from one, is payable on such an account.
Accounts that go quiet
An account with no login and no activity for an extended period is treated as inactive. We do not close it arbitrarily and we do not help ourselves to the balance.
You can reactivate an inactive account by logging in. If verification has lapsed or your documents have expired, KYC must be completed again before a withdrawal is paid.
Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits and withdrawals are made in the Cashier using the methods available to your account. Minimum amounts apply and are shown in the Cashier at the moment you transact.
Withdrawals are paid to a method held in your own name. Where the rules of a payment provider require it, funds are returned by the same route they arrived. Processing times vary by method and are shown before you confirm.
Withdrawal limits
Withdrawal limits are tiered, and the tier that applies to you depends on your deposit history. Limits scale with your deposit tier rather than being one figure for every player, so a player who has deposited more over time can withdraw more per period.
The current figures for each tier are published in the Cashier and in the promotional terms where they apply. Check them there rather than assuming a number, because they are the ones we act on.
Deposit fee where play is minimal
Depositing and withdrawing without meaningful play is a payment service, not gambling, and it costs us money to process.
Where an account deposits and then withdraws without sufficient gameplay activity, a fee of 5% of the deposited amount may be charged. Play normally and this never applies to you. It is stated here plainly rather than buried, because it is the kind of clause a player deserves to know about before it is applied.
Sports and casino bonuses work differently
Sportsbook promotions and casino promotions do not share a rulebook. Odds requirements, qualifying markets, wagering multiples and time limits differ between them, and they also differ between individual campaigns.
Do not assume that because you cleared one bonus a certain way, the next one behaves the same. Each promotion publishes its own terms on the offer page, and those terms are the ones that govern it.
How a Free Bet pays
A Free Bet is placed as a single stake and cannot be split across several bets or several selections.
If a Free Bet wins, you receive the net winnings: the return minus the stake. The stake itself is not returned to your balance, because it was never your money. If it loses, nothing is deducted from your balance.
Not every game clears a bonus at the same rate
Wagering contributions vary by game type. Some categories count in full towards a wagering requirement, others count at a reduced rate, and some are excluded entirely.
The contribution table for a given promotion is published with that promotion. Read it before you start clearing, because a session spent on an excluded category makes no progress at all, and that is the single most common reason a bonus fails to clear.
How wagering is calculated
A wagering requirement is expressed as a multiple. The bonus amount is multiplied by that figure to give the total you must stake before bonus funds convert to withdrawable balance.
Each qualifying bet reduces the outstanding requirement by its stake, adjusted by the contribution rate of the game you played. Your remaining requirement is shown in your account while a bonus is active, so you never have to work it out on paper. The multiple that applies to your bonus is stated in that promotion's terms.
Maximum stake while wagering
While a bonus is being wagered, a maximum stake per bet or per spin applies. It exists to stop a bonus being cleared in a single large bet, which is a different game from the one the promotion was written for.
Exceeding it can void the bonus and any winnings derived from it. The exact ceiling is published in the terms of the promotion you accepted.
Unused bonus funds expire
Bonus funds have a life. If the wagering requirement is not completed within the period set by the promotion, the remaining bonus balance and any winnings attached to it are removed from the account.
Once wagering is complete, the converted funds are ordinary balance and no longer expire. The countdown for each promotion is shown in your account while the bonus is active.
Bonus abuse and linked accounts
Promotions are for individual players. Accounts that share a household, an IP address, a device, a payment method or an email pattern may be treated as linked where the pattern indicates coordinated bonus claiming.
Where abuse is established, bonuses and winnings derived from them are void, and the accounts involved may be closed. Genuine deposits that were not used in the abuse are returned.
Responsible gambling tools
Deposit, wagering and session limits are available in your account. Lowering a limit applies immediately; raising or removing one is held for a cooling-off period first.
Self-exclusion is available as a temporary break or as a permanent closure. A temporary exclusion cannot be lifted before its end date, on request or otherwise. Full detail is on the Responsible Gambling page.
Independent support
If gambling has stopped being entertainment, contact Gambling Help Online, free and confidential, 24 hours a day, on 1800 858 858.
BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, is the Australian Government register covering licensed Australian services, and operates independently of us.
Licence and operator
LEON Bet is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board and operates under the conditions of that licence.
That is a Curaçao licence, not an Australian one. We state it exactly as it is rather than implying a broader regulatory standing than we hold, because the difference matters when you decide who to play with.
Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the law of the licensing jurisdiction, and disputes are resolved under it.
The English version of this document is the authoritative one. Where a translation differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
Complaints and disputes
Raise a complaint with support first, by live chat or email. Include your account name, the date and the amount or bet in question, because a complaint with those three things moves faster than one without.
Timeframes differ by type. General service complaints are answered fastest, game and settlement disputes take longer because the round has to be pulled from the provider's logs, and account or verification disputes sit between the two. You are told which track your complaint is on and when to expect an answer.
If our final answer does not resolve the matter, you can escalate it to an independent alternative dispute resolution provider. Support will give you the current escalation route in writing on request. Internal email is not the end of the road.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to support, available 24 hours a day by live chat and email. Ask for the specific clause you want explained and you will get an answer against that clause rather than a general reply.
